Adductor Lunge Stretch


To Perform the Adductor Lunge Stretch:

  1. Begin in a kneeling lunge position with your left foot positioned in front of you and your right knee resting on the ground (Figure 1).

  2. From this position lean your trunk forward, bringing your left elbow towards the floor and your left shoulder towards your left knee.  It is often helpful to perform an anterior pelvic tilt during this motion (Figure 2).

  3. As you do this you should feel a stretch in your left hip and groin.  Hold this position for 15-30 seconds then repeat on the opposite side.
