Welcome to Kinetesis Sports Injury & Performance Clinic

At Kinetesis Sports our approach is different than most clinics.....

Although trained as chiropractors, at Kinetesis Sports we do far more than just treat the joints of the spine.  In fact, we utilize a number of highly effective diagnostic and treatment techniques - including video motion analysis, biomechanical assessment, Active Release Techniques®(ART®), functional rehabilitation exercises, and sport specific conditioning -  to both treat existing injuries, as well as help athletes prepare their bodies for peak training and competition.

To do this, we take a different approach than most other clinics.  For example, when treating an existing injury we not only assess the symptomatic area, but we also look at the entire body to identify any biomechanical problems or movement compensations that have created the overload in the first place.  We believe this is a critical step because problems at a particular muscle or joint can create excessive stress and ultimately damage anywhere along the kinetic chain.  For example knee problems are often caused by problems in the foot or hip, and carpal tunnel symptoms can often be caused when the median nerve becomes trapped at the elbow or shoulder.  When this is the case, treating only the area of pain may provide some relief, but results will be slow and incomplete, and the problem will be more likely to re-occur when the cause of the overload has not been removed.  For More Information visit our Injury Care page.

Optimizing Athletic Performance with Performance Care

In addition to treating existing injures, we also work with athletes to help them prevent injuries and optimize musculoskeletal health.  We refer to this service as Performance Care.  With Performance Care the focus is on the identification and correction of an athlete’s biomechanical problems and movement compensations that are placing excessive stress on the body.  This service will not only help prevent injury, but will also allow help optimize musculoskeletal health and performance, allowing you to train and compete at your highest level.   Click here for more information on Performance Care.
